Lighting Rental in Da Nang: Real Prices for 2026
Film lighting rental prices in Da Nang, published per light: Aputure, Nanlux, Nanlite, Amaran, from 150,000 VND a day. Stands, diffusion and flags included. Delivered to set.
Camera prices in Da Nang are easy to find. Lighting prices are not. Most rental houses just write “contact us”, even though light is the thing that decides whether a shot looks expensive or cheap.
This page publishes the daily rate for every light and every piece of diffusion currently sitting in the CINEFY store in Son Tra, Da Nang. Rates were updated in August 2026, are quoted per shooting day of 8 to 10 hours, and do not include the 8 percent VAT.
How much does film lighting rental cost in Da Nang?
Short answer: from 150,000 VND per day for a small on-camera light, up to 3,500,000 VND per day for the largest fixture in the store. A complete interview package lands around 1.5 million VND per day. A package big enough for a small TVC is around 3 million VND per day.
1. Small lights, rim lights and colour lights (150,000 to 400,000 VND per day)
This group is for rim light, background wash and practicals inside the frame. Small, battery powered, quick to rig.

2. Mid range key lights (450,000 to 1,000,000 VND per day)
This is the most rented group. Bright enough for interviews, talking heads, product work and daylight interiors. The last two rows are multi bulb sets, usually used as a soft background wash or as practicals inside the frame.

This group is for punching through large diffusion, fighting sun on exteriors, or lighting a whole building facade. It is also the group that is hard to find in Da Nang, which is why crews used to ship these units up from Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi.

Diffusion, flags and stands
A bare light with nothing in front of it gives you hard, awkward light. Most lighting orders at CINEFY go out with at least one frame of diffusion and one flag.

That package is enough for a clean interview corner, smooth skin and a subject that separates from the background. If you shoot at the CINEFY studio, the overhead lighting grid is already in place and you only need to add the colour lights.

Sun in Da Nang between roughly 10am and 3pm is harsh and very contrasty. For a midday exterior, the cutting and bouncing usually matters more than raw output.
How to pick the right light for the job
- Output follows distance and diffusion. The same light loses a lot of punch once you push it through a 12×12 silk. In a small room 300W is already plenty; outdoors, or through big diffusion, you want 600W and up.
- Bi-color or full colour. Bi-color is fine for interviews and corporate video. Full colour units (600C, Nova P300C, Nova P600C, the Amaran C line) are only needed when you want the colour to live inside the frame, on a music video or on product work with its own palette.
- Mains or battery. Big fixtures need stable power. For exteriors, old houses or beach locations, budget for a portable power station as well.
- Do not skip the grip. One 600W light with diffusion and a flag beats two bare 1200W lights every time.

How renting lights at CINEFY works
- Book by hotline or Zalo on 0779 771 234. Book 1 to 2 days ahead, or 3 to 5 days ahead in the busy year end season.
- Paperwork and deposit: ID card or passport for verification, deposit based on the value of the gear. CINEFY does not keep original documents.
- Pick up at 179B Nguyen Cong Tru, An Hai, Son Tra, or have the gear delivered to set for a fee that depends on the area.
- Test at the store with a technician: run the full output range, check stands, power cables and controllers before you sign.
- If something fails mid shoot, call the hotline. The store keeps replacement units available the same day.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to rent a film light in Da Nang per day?
From 150,000 VND per day for a small on-camera light such as the Aputure MC Pro, up to 3,500,000 VND per day for the Aputure XT26. The most rented group is the mid range key lights, from 450,000 VND to 900,000 VND per light per day.
Do lights come with stands and diffusion?
Stands, sandbags and power cables travel with the light. Frames, silks, ultra bounce, solids and flags are charged separately, from 100,000 VND to 700,000 VND depending on size.
Can I rent for half a day?
Yes. A half day is charged at 70 percent of the day rate. If you only need a few hours indoors, renting the studio by the hour is usually cheaper because the overhead lighting grid is already in place.
Is there a discount for multi day rentals?
Yes, but not on an automatic formula. Long bookings are quoted case by case, so send the shoot dates and the equipment list to get an exact price.
Do you deliver lights to set?
Yes. Delivery inside Da Nang is charged by area. Hoi An and the surrounding area is agreed per booking. Large fixtures and frames of 12×12 and up need a small truck, so give notice to arrange the vehicle.
Can foreign visitors rent?
Yes. The CINEFY rental team works in English every day, takes a passport for verification and supports international payment.
Are the prices VAT inclusive?
No. Add 8 percent VAT. Full electronic invoices are issued for companies.
