Inside CINEFY’s 360m² Film Studio in Da Nang
CINEFY Studio Da Nang: a 360m² blackout space with seamless cyclorama, podcast area and makeup room. Hourly rates, block pricing and booking terms.
CINEFY Studio is a 360m² blackout space in Son Tra, Da Nang, with a seamless cyclorama wall, a podcast and talking head corner, a stills area, a makeup room, a meeting room, parking and three phase power. With no windows, your lighting decides the look, not the weather. Hourly rental starts at 600,000 VND for the first hour, held with a 50% deposit.
CINEFY Studio, 179B Nguyen Cong Tru, An Hai, Son Tra, Da Nang. Studio and podcast: 0965 408 519. Video production and equipment rental: 0779 771 234. Operating since 2022, rated 5.0 with more than 170 Google reviews.

What is inside the 360m² studio?
The floor is split into separate working zones, so two setups can run in the same session without tripping over each other.
- Seamless cyclorama wall: curved corners with no visible seam, used for commercials, fashion lookbooks and any shot where the subject stands against a clean background.
- Podcast and talking head corner: table, chairs and mic runs already in place, so the set is ready in minutes instead of rebuilding the room.
- Stills area: multi colour backdrops and a green screen that swap out per scene.
- Makeup room and meeting room: talent prepares in a separate room and clients review frames next door, which keeps the shooting floor quiet.
- Three phase power and parking: big lighting plugs straight into mains rather than a generator, and the equipment van parks at the door.
Hourly rate or block booking: which is cheaper?
Studio floor rental is tiered: 600,000 VND for the first hour, then 495,000 VND per hour. Three block rates run alongside it. The table adds both methods up so the crossover point is visible.
| Duration | Hourly total | Block rate | Better choice |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 hour | 600,000 VND | none | hourly |
| 2 hours | 1,095,000 VND | none | hourly |
| 3 hours | 1,590,000 VND | none | hourly |
| 4 hours | 2,085,000 VND | 1,980,000 VND | 4 hour block |
| 8 hours | 4,065,000 VND | 3,560,000 VND | 8 hour block |
| 16 hours | 8,025,000 VND | 6,320,000 VND | 16 hour block |
The break even point is the fourth hour. From there the block always beats the hourly total, and the gap widens to 1,705,000 VND at sixteen hours. A three hour shoot is fine on the hourly rate. But if the schedule looks likely to slip into a fourth hour, booking the 4 hour block up front is both cheaper and one less negotiation mid shoot.

What does shooting indoors solve that a location does not?
Da Nang runs a rainy season from roughly September to January, and the same question keeps coming back on forums for people who have just moved here: is it worth shooting outdoors this month. Once talent, crew and gear are booked, an outdoor day always needs a backup plan attached.
A blackout studio deals with exactly that. No windows means the light at nine in the morning and four in the afternoon is identical, so a shot from the start of the day cuts against one from the end without a colour mismatch, and nobody is racing the sun. Street noise stays outside too, which gives a far cleaner audio track than shooting in a cafe or an office.
The trade off is real: a studio does not replace a location. Scenes that need sunlight, beach or street still have to go outside. The usual approach is to batch interviews, product shots and clean background work into one studio day, and save a clear sky for the exterior work.

What to bring, and what to rent on site
This list comes from what gets forgotten most often at studio shoots.
- A printed script or shot list, ordered by setup rather than by story, so the same corner of the set is not built twice.
- Spare wardrobe plus a steamer or iron, because a seamless background shows every crease.
- Enough cards and drives, plus a second backup drive copying in parallel during the day.
- A list of everyone attending, so the makeup room and client seating can be arranged in advance.
- A planned wrap time, agreed with catering in advance if the shoot runs past midday.
Gear is rented on site rather than trucked in: cameras, lenses, lighting, audio and a teleprompter. On the CINEFY rental calendar for September 2026, the Sony FX3 is the steadiest body out of the store at around three bookings a month, and the Aputure 600D light went out on real orders on 10 and 11 September 2026. Items and per day rates sit on the equipment rental page.
Two line items that budgets often miss: a lighting technician at 100,000 VND per person per hour, and a smoke machine at 100,000 VND per session.

How do booking, deposit and after hours charges work?
Availability shows live on the studio booking page. Pick a slot, pay a 50% deposit to hold it, and settle the balance right after the session. Every booking includes 30 minutes of setup time before the clock starts, enough to move lights and run cable.
Slots after 22:00 carry a surcharge of 180,000 VND per hour. On a tight budget the simplest move is to set the wrap before 22:00 and push the strike to the next morning rather than paying for the last two hours.
One thing that gets mixed up on pricing calls: podcast and talking head work is not billed at the empty floor rate. Those run on their own hourly packages, 2,500,000 VND per hour for one camera, 3,000,000 VND for two and 3,500,000 VND for three, including camera, lenses, audio, lighting, teleprompter and the operating crew. If you only need the room, use the hourly table above. If you need finished footage to take home, use the podcast and talking head packages.
For scripted projects, cost depends on shoot days, gear, crew and the amount of post, so CINEFY breaks the quote down line by line after reading the brief instead of quoting one flat figure. More on the video production page.
