How to Rent a Film Studio in Da Nang 2026

Those are the numbers. The rest of this guide covers what a rate card does not tell you: when hourly beats a block, which line items people forget at budgeting time, and what actually fits inside a 360 square metre room in An Hai.

How much does a film studio in Da Nang cost?

This is the rate for the empty space: the floor, the power, the backdrops and access to every zone in the studio. Cameras, lights, teleprompter and crew are separate line items, priced at a discount when they ride along with a studio booking.

Hourly or block: which one is cheaper?

Clients ask this on nearly every booking call, and the answer is arithmetic. Using the rates above:

• 4 hours: hourly comes to 600,000 + 495,000 x 3 = 2,085,000 VND. The block is 1,980,000 VND. You save 105,000 VND.
• 8 hours: hourly comes to 600,000 + 495,000 x 7 = 4,065,000 VND. The block is 3,560,000 VND. You save 505,000 VND.
• 16 hours: hourly comes to 600,000 + 495,000 x 15 = 8,025,000 VND. The full day is 6,320,000 VND. You save 1,705,000 VND.

What is inside the 360 square metre studio?

The CINEFY studio sits in An Hai, Son Tra district, Da Nang. Its 360 square metres are split into three zones that can run at the same time:

• Infinity wall: a seamless coved wall with no visible floor line in frame. This is the most used zone for product, fashion and commercial work.
• Podcast and talking head zone: permanently set for someone speaking to camera, with room for a multi camera setup.
• Stills zone: kept separate so a photo team is not walking through a video team.

Alongside that: green screen, multi colour backdrops, a makeup room, a meeting room, parking and three phase power. That last item sounds dull and turns out to be decisive. Heavy lighting rigs plugged into domestic power sag halfway through the day, and nothing ruins a fast shoot like flicker on the final take.

How booking and deposits work

Three steps, none of them hidden:

1. Send the date, hours and what you are shooting. Headcount matters, so does whether you are building a set and whether you need cameras or lights on top.
2. Confirm the block and pay a 50% deposit. The date is only held once the deposit lands. Weekends and the year end run book out early.
3. Pay the remaining 50% right after the shoot. Nothing is left open once you walk out.

The line items people forget

This is where the final invoice diverges from the number a client had in mind on the phone:

• Build and strike time. Plenty of people budget the exact hours they expect to roll, then remember that sets do not build themselves. A look that involves swapping a backdrop and relighting usually eats about an hour before the first take.
• The 22:00 line. A shoot starting at 15:00 on an 8 hour block ends at 23:00, which is one hour of surcharge at 180,000 VND. Moving the call time two hours earlier makes that disappear.
• Somebody to set the lights. If your team has no gaffer, a lighting technician at 100,000 VND per person per hour costs far less than losing an hour to guesswork.
• Haze. 100,000 VND per session. For any scene where beams should be visible, it is the highest return per dong on this entire list.

Empty studio or a full package?

These are two different products, and mixing them up causes most of the confusion around pricing:

• Empty studio rental at the rates above. You bring your own crew and kit, or add gear from the CINEFY inventory. Right choice when you already have a team.

On camera choice: a Sony FX3 with G Master glass is the most requested configuration for studio days, because it holds shadow detail well and stays compact when you have to move around a built set. Projects that need more latitude tend to go out with a RED KOMODO X or a Blackmagic Pyxis 6K.
